Many years ago, when he did the very first laps on his mountain bike, our Young Gun Korbinian Engstler already dreamed of driving down the endless trails in the world-famous Whistler Mountain Bike Park in Canada one day. Now he's made the big leap, packed his R RAYMON Seventrailray 9.0 into the transport box and flew to Canada with his best buddy and coach Stefan for 4 weeks.
Aim of the trip was to optimize his riding skills, to explore the country's mountain bike parks and of course to have a good time on the bike. Right after an early breakfast he headed to Whistler Mountain Bike Park for 4-5 laps every day and after a relaxed lunch break at the pool or in the lake another 5 laps were on the agenda.

But on the bucketlist were also big dreams & milestones for the professional career: For example the first participation in a Crankworx Event (Air DH) in the professional class. "The atmosphere during the race was simply amazing! Every single one of them was on fire & pushed me to the end. I would never have dreamed of driving as fast as the great idols of my childhood," enthuses the newcomer, who was able to achieve a top 60 position in a strong international field of drivers with just one training run.
Another highlight - the risky jump over one of the world's most famous gaps: The Train Gap between Whistler and Pemberton attracts the most experienced & daring bikers in the world - our Young Gun Korbi makes it perfect in the first attempt! "I never thought I'd jump anything so big! I owe it all to Troy, the best local guide ever, who showed us the Train Gap, and of course Stefan, who accompanied me the whole time and made this trip an absolute highlight! Without my family this trip would never have been possible and special thanks also to the R RAYMON - Team for my Seventrailray 9.0, which survived 4 weeks of bike adventure and hardest load without a single defect!

One thing’s for certain: The Canadian Boy Korbi will be back next year! Now a few video projects and another little highlight in his young career are on the agenda. Stay tuned!
